Kasey White

Senior Software Engineer at Cardano Foundation

Kasey White has a diverse work experience in the software development industry. Kasey started their career as a Software Test Engineer at FINRA in 2017 and continued in the same role until 2018. From 2018 to 2020, Kasey worked at Boats Group as a Software Test Engineer and focused on creating a test automation platform for mobile apps. Kasey also implemented the first CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins and device farm for mobile testing. In 2018, Kasey co-founded Vegan Brüder, a highly-rated vegan restaurant that emphasized digital services. During their time there, they prototyped and tested different vegan food concepts and managed various digital platforms such as Uber Eats, Grubhub, and DoorDash.

In 2020, Kasey joined FINRA again, this time as a Software Developer in Test and Blockchain Engineer, and stayed until 2022. In this role, they contributed to software development and testing for blockchain technologies. From 2021 to 2023, Kasey worked as a Plutus Developer for Smart Contracts, focusing on software development.

In 2022, Kasey had two other positions. Kasey worked as a Blockchain Developer at JPG Store, where they developed on-chain and off-chain code for smart contracts on Cardano, using TypeScript for off-chain code and PlutusTx for on-chain code. Kasey also worked as an Open Source Developer at Txpipe, where they reversed engineered Plutus Core and Ouroboros Consensus to build Rust implementations.

Currently, Kasey serves as a Senior Software Engineer at the Cardano Foundation, having joined in 2023.

Kasey White attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
