Spencer Birns

Spencer Birns has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Spencer is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Cardiff Airport since April 2021, previously serving as the Interim Chief Executive Officer from August 2020 to April 2021. Before their current role, they served as the Chief Commercial Officer from April 2019 to August 2020, and as the Commercial Director from November 2013 to April 2019.

Prior to joining Cardiff Airport, Birns worked at Manchester Airport as an Aviation Development Account Manager from August 2003 to July 2006. Before that, they worked at MY Travel, where they held various roles including Aviation and Cruise Product Manager from July 2000 to June 2003, Commercial Supervisor from December 1998 to July 2000, and Reservations Supervisor from February 1994 to December 1998.

Spencer Birns attended Bury College from 1993 to 1995, where they studied Travel & Tourism Management. Before that, they attended Sandown High, although it is uncertain when they attended or what field of study they pursued there.
