Dr Sameh Otri

Dr Sameh Otri has a diverse work experience in various educational institutions and organizations. Dr Sameh is currently working as an Engineering Lecturer at Cardiff and Vale College since October 2022. Prior to this, they served as an Engineering Lecturer at ICAT Ltd - International Centre for Aerospace Training from September 2018 to November 2022. Dr Sameh also worked as a Lecturer and Learning Support Worker at ITN Mark Education from January 2018 to November 2022.

Before moving to the UK, Dr Sameh Otri worked as an Assistant Professor at Al Qassim University in Saudi Arabia from October 2013 to August 2017. Dr Sameh also served as a Regional Officer at Syria Relief Limited from January 2012 to June 2013.

Dr Sameh'searlier work experience includes a role as a Research Associate at Cardiff University from April 2008 to June 2013. Dr Sameh started their career as an Assistant Professor at Damascus University in Syria from October 2000 to 2006. Overall, Dr Sameh Otri has a strong background in academia and teaching, with experience at both international and domestic institutions.

Dr Sameh Otri has an extensive education history. Dr Sameh began their academic journey at Aleppo High School from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree specializing in Mathematics, science, and Physics. Following this, they attended Aleppo University from 1991 to 1996, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Dr Sameh Otri further pursued their studies in the field of System Engineering with IT Application at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 2000 to 2001, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree. Dr Sameh later went on to pursue their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 2002 to 2008, specializing in Artificial Intelligence.

Continuing their educational journey, Dr Sameh Otri attended the University of South Wales from 2019 to 2021, where they completed their Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration. With their diverse educational background, Dr Sameh Otri possesses a strong foundation in various fields such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Higher Education Administration.
