Dr. Ruan Jones

Dr. Ruan Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Sport, PE & Health at Cardiff Metropolitan University since October 2023, with extensive experience in physical education and related fields. Previous roles include Senior Lecturer in Physical Education at Leeds Beckett University from September 2014 to October 2023, and Senior Lecturer in Physical Education at the University of Worcester from January 2005 to July 2010. Dr. Jones has served as an External Examiner in Sport Coaching Science at the University of Brighton and in Physical Education at Liverpool John Moores University. Early career experience includes teaching physical education at Thirsk School and working as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton. Dr. Jones holds a PhD in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Leeds Beckett University and several advanced degrees in education and sports science.
