Matthew Hicks

Matthew Hicks currently serves as the MAT and KS4 Transition Lead at Cardinal Newman Catholic School, a position held since August 2021, focusing on enhancing opportunities for More Able and Talented pupils and managing the transition to post-16 education. Previously, Matthew worked as a KS4 Transition Lead and teacher at Eastern High School from September 2019 to August 2021. Earlier career experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant at OTM Group, a Salesperson at PGL Travel, and an Instructor in watersports and ropes. Matthew also has experience in environmental roles as an Environmental Engineer at Vertase F.L.I. Limited and as an Environmental Technician at Paulex Environmental. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Southampton, obtained in 2011.
