Director Of Application Engineering at Cardinal Peak

Ben Mesander has a strong background in engineering and software development, with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Ben currently serves as the Director of Application Engineering at Cardinal Peak, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they were the VP of Software Development at eVisit from 2021 to 2023.

Before joining Cardinal Peak and eVisit, Ben worked at Wowza Media Systems as the VP of Engineering from 2019 to 2021. In this role, they led product development and successfully improved the time to release by 10x.

Ben started their career as an Independent Consultant from 2000 to 2007, where they worked on various projects including porting x86 assembly, developing a Linux distribution, and working on the installer in Python and GTK. Ben also worked at Timing Solutions Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer from 2001 to 2006, developing embedded firmware for high precision time and frequency systems.

Earlier in their career, Ben was a Partner at Creative Concepts Corporation from 1997 to 2001, where they led the implementation of Java and web-based solutions for enterprise document management and web content management. Ben also worked at IBM as an Advisory Engineer from 1995 to 1997.

Ben Mesander attended the University of Oklahoma from 1984 to 1989, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
