Jacob Bergsland

Jacob Bergsland has an extensive work experience in the medical field. Jacob started their career in 2002 as a Doctor at Rikshospitalet. In the same year, they also joined Oslo University Hospital (RH) as an MD, PhD. Jacob worked in this role until 2014. During their time at Oslo University Hospital, they also took on the role of MD, PhD at BH Centre za Srce from 2002 to 2011. In 2015, Jacob Bergsland became the Chief Medical Officer at CardioMech AS, where they are currently employed.

Jacob Bergsland completed their education in medicine and cardiac surgery at the University of Oslo (UiO) from 1966 to 1973. Jacob obtained an MD and PhD degree during their time at UiO. Later, from 1976 to 2002, Jacob pursued further education at the State University of NY at Buffalo, specializing in general surgery with a focus on cardiac surgery. In May 2021, they obtained a certification in GCP for Clinical Investigations of Devices from the CITI Program, a division of BRANY.
