Noreen Nampewo is a skilled professional with extensive experience in gender-based violence advocacy and women's empowerment. Currently serving as a GBV/Protection Advisor at CARE International in Uganda and Program Manager for Women Empowerment at the International Rescue Committee, Noreen oversees vital initiatives such as the Listen Up activities and the PSEA/SHEA campaign in Bidibidi settlement. Noreen leads the establishment of impactful women movements, focusing on amplifying women's voices and addressing inequalities. Additionally, as a Coordinator at the Women Natural Resource Governance Institute, Noreen mobilizes women to influence governance in natural resource management. Noreen holds a Post Graduate degree in Gender and Local Economic Development, a Master's degree in Human Rights and Human Development, and a Bachelor's degree in Development Studies from Makerere University.
