Maria Rohani is an experienced communications and policy professional with a strong background in human rights and social movements. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Manager for both CARE's WiDEF and the Women in the Digital Economy Fund, Maria has previously held significant roles including a Civil Society and Parliamentarians Partnerships Consultant for the United Nations Population Fund and Policy Lead for Hate Speech and Harassment at YouTube. Maria's expertise extends to research and strategic communications, demonstrated through positions at the National Domestic Workers Alliance and UN Women, among others. Maria holds a Master of Arts in Human Rights Studies from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
