Senior Vice President And System Chief Nursing Officer at Roper St. Francis Healthcare

Marissa Jamarik has over 25 years of work experience in the healthcare industry. Marissa is currently serving as the Senior Vice President and System Chief Nursing Officer at Roper St. Francis Healthcare since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Inova Health System as the Vice President of Nursing at Inova Heart and Vascular Institute and the Chief Nursing Officer of ILH from October 2019 to June 2021. Before that, they held the position of AVP Chief Nursing Officer at Inova Loudoun Hospital from July 2017 to October 2019. Marissa started their career at Inova Health System in 1995 as the Senior Director of Nursing Services. Marissa was responsible for overseeing various areas, including Intensive Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit, Medical Surgical Unit, Pediatrics, and more. Marissa managed a team of 12 direct reports and over 300 employees. Marissa also had leadership roles in Outpatient Infusion, Wound and Ostomy Nurses, and Chaplaincy. Their extensive experience showcases their expertise in nursing administration and leadership.

Marissa Jamarik completed their education in a chronological order. Marissa attended Notre Dame Academy from 1981 to 1985 where they obtained their high school degree. Marissa then pursued their Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Marymount University from 1987 to 1989. In 1997, they earned their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Shenandoah University. Marissa furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing from George Mason University from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, they completed the Nurse Executive Advanced certification from ABSNC/ANCC in 2011. Lastly, they attended Walden University from 2013 to 2016, where they obtained their Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a focus in Nursing Administration.
