Jed Brinton

Jed Brinton has an extensive work history, starting with their current role as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Career Education Colleges and Universities since September 2023. Prior to that, they were a Partner at Zobrist Law Group from November 2022 to September 2023. From November 2020 to November 2022, they served as the Vice President of Accreditation at the American Osteopathic Association. Jed also held various positions at the U.S. Department of Education, including Deputy General Counsel, Special Counsel, and being delegated the Duties of the General Counsel from 2017 to 2020. Before that, they worked at the U.S. Department of Justice as part of the Office of Legal Policy. Jed has also been a Partner at Pia Anderson Dorius Reynard and Moss, worked as a Judicial Law Clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and served as an Associate at Kirton McConkie. Additionally, they were the Director of Legal Research at The Constitutional Sources Project and worked as a Law Clerk for Romney for President, Inc.

Jed Brinton completed their education with a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Yale Law School between 2005 and 2010. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Philosophy at the University of Utah from 2004 to 2005. Jed'sundergraduate studies were at Brigham Young University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Statistics and Philosophy from 1998 to 2004.
