Pamela Nabors

Pamela Nabors has over three decades of experience in the field of workforce development. Pamela began their career as the Director of Job Training Programs at Brevard Community College in 1989, where they managed federal job training programs and supervised a team responsible for assessment, counseling, training, and placement. In 1994, Nabors joined the Brevard Workforce Development Board as the Director of Planning, where they researched and developed employment and training programs, managed contracts for federal job training programs, and wrote grant proposals. Pamela then served as the PROGRESS Executive Director at Southend Community Services from 1998 to 2001, where they provided vision and leadership for a community-based collaborative, negotiated contracts, and oversaw program services for low-income and limited English-speaking residents. From 2001 to 2012, Nabors worked at Capital Workforce Partners as the Director of Program Operations, overseeing contracted workforce and HR programs, managing workforce programs with private providers and community-based organizations, and writing grants for job training programs. Since 2012, Nabors has held the position of President/CEO at CareerSource Central Florida, where they provide executive leadership for a $40+ million workforce development board and oversees operations to provide quality workforce services to job seekers and businesses in five counties.

Pamela Nabors has a diverse education history. Pamela obtained their Master's degree in Personnel Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology, graduating between the years 1987 and 1989. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in English at Buffalo State University, attending from 1976 to 1981. Additionally, Pamela attended Eastern Florida State College from 1984 to 1986, where they pursued studies in Technical Writing, though they did not obtain a degree in this field.

In terms of certifications, Pamela obtained a Certified Workforce Development Professional - Management Endorsement from the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals in the year 2006. However, the month of certification is not specified.
