Jennifer Riffle Schugam

Jennifer Riffle Schugam, LCSW-C, MSW, BA, currently serves as the Director of Behavioral Health Services at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, a position held since July 2022, after previously working as the Programs Manager for Behavioral Health at the same organization from January 2016 to April 2022. With extensive experience in behavioral health care management, Jennifer worked as a Care Manager and as an Outreach Worker-Clinical Supervisor at MAIN STREET MOBILE TREATMENT ASSOCIATES INC from September 2001 to September 2016. Additional roles include Acute Admissions Social Worker at Springfield State Hospital from January 2014 to January 2015 and Founder & Executive Director at Feeding the People from December 2007 to December 2013. Jennifer's early career included client services consulting and management at Global Crossing Telecommunications, Inc. Jennifer earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) in Clinical Practice with Families and Children from the University of Maryland, School of Social Work, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology & Religion from St. Mary's College of Maryland.
