Fredrik Westman

Fredrik Westman has over two decades of work experience in various roles in the technology and medical device industries. Fredrik was the CEO and founder of OPTILOGG by CareLigo AB from 2011 to present. Prior to that, they worked at St. Jude Medical, where they held a range of positions including Director of Device Technology, Research Manager & Program Portfolio Manager, Program Portfolio Manager, Program Manager, Manager of Systems & Digital Electronics, and Project Manager. Before joining St. Jude Medical, Fredrik worked at Spirea AB as a Digital IC Designer and at Saab Aerosystems as a Digital IC Designer. Fredrik has a strong background in digital electronics design, with experience in developing innovative solutions for medical devices and high-frequency signal processing. Fredrik has extensive experience in team management, strategy development, and budget responsibility.

Fredrik Westman pursued their education in a chronological manner. Fredrik started their academic journey in 1987 and completed it in 1997. From 1987 to 1990, they attended Gudlav Bilderskolan, where they focused on studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Following that, they enrolled at Luleå University of Technology from 1991 to 1997, during which they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science. These educational experiences provide a foundation in both Electrical and Electronics Engineering as well as Computer Science for Fredrik Westman.
