Deanna Cook

Deanna Cook is currently serving as Associate General Counsel at Carelon since January 2024. Previously, Deanna held the position of Senior Director, Legal Affairs at Strata Oncology from August 2021 to December 2023, where responsibilities included advising on legal and compliance issues for a clinical lab focused on precision oncology and supporting clinical trials by managing regulatory matters and drafting agreements. From September 2014 to August 2021, Deanna was Assistant General Counsel at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, overseeing Medicare Advantage and Part D compliance and engaging in leadership training related to AI in healthcare. Earlier in their career, Deanna worked as an Associate Attorney at Steptoe & Johnson LLP from January 2010 to September 2014, representing clients across various practice areas, and as a Summer Associate in 2008 and Summer Law Clerk at the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2007, where initial legal research and drafting were performed.
