Intensive Support Coordinator at CareStar

Leslie Lewis has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Starting in 1997, they worked as a Social Services Case Manager for the Richmond County Department of Family and Children's Services. In this role, they were responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse and neglect, assessing risk, and determining the need for detaining at-risk children. Leslie also prepared documents and testified at Juvenile Court hearings for placement decisions, investigated cases of fraud and abuse, and managed a caseload of over 500 Food Stamp, TANF, and Medicaid cases. Leslie worked in this position until July 2003.

Their duties include advocating for quality support services and care for disabled adults, assisting with transitioning from state hospitals to community living arrangements, and ensuring individuals receive person-centered support. Leslie Lewis obtained a Master's of Public Administration degree in Public Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, which was completed from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, Leslie earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government from Augusta State University, with a duration from 1992 to 1996. Additionally, Leslie obtained a Notary Public Commission from the Georgia Superior Court Clerks Cooperative Authority in July 2021.
