General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer Pamela Meanes is an accomplished Attorney. Meanes was a partner in the law firm of Thompson Coburn where she represented clients in the areas of health care, personnel, land use, eminent domain and employment. She represented such clients as the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, Saint Mary’s Hospital, McLeod U.S.A., Energizer Battery, Metro Transit, Monsanto, East St. Louis Children’s Mission, and St. Louis Women’s Healthcare.

Meanes is a former president of the National Bar Association (NBA), the nation’s oldest and largest organization of predominately African American attorneys and judges with more than 65,000 members. She is also past president of Mound City Bar Association. Her service to professional and civic organizations includes her current position as chair of the NAACP St. Louis County Branch’s Legal Redress committee and vice president of the Mound City Bar Foundation. She is a former co-chair of the ABA Section of Litigation’s Legal Service Project. Meanes has also served on the board of directors of MERS Goodwill, Greater East St. Louis Community Fund, Inc., and Legal Services of Eastern Missouri.
