David Gerdt

David Gerdt has been in the industry for over 35 years. David began their career in 1982 as a part of Sperry Corporation in Charlottesville, VA. In 1996, they became President of Empirical Technologies Corporation, where they were responsible for licensing patents related to noninvasive, beat by beat blood pressure, noninvasive blood volume status, and continuous arterial stiffness. In 2014, they joined CareTaker Medical as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and was promoted to Chief Scientist in 2017.

David Gerdt obtained their Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Virginia in 1982, and their Master of Science (M.S.) in Physics from the University of Virginia in 1978.
