Roger Laty

Roger Laty, CPA, currently serves as Senior Vice President of Tax at CareTrust REIT, a position held since April 2025. Laty's extensive experience in tax management includes significant roles such as Vice President of Tax at UDR Inc. from April 2013 to May 2025 and Vice President of Tax for Nationwide Health Properties Inc. from June 2008 to April 2012. At Nationwide Health Properties, Laty developed the internal tax compliance and planning department and managed significant acquisitions exceeding $2 billion. Laty also held key positions in tax leadership at Kilroy Realty Corporation and Ernst & Young, focusing on tax strategies for real estate entities. Additionally, Laty contributed to the Blind Children's Learning Center as a Board Member and Audit Committee Chair, and previously served as Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair. Laty earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton, from 1988 to 1992.
