Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a robust background in developing collaborative solutions and educational devices. Currently working at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris focuses on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and other educational accessories. Previous roles include firmware engineering at SMART Technologies, where Chris developed firmware for similar technologies, and electronics contracting at the Science Alberta Foundation, creating and repairing educational devices. With earlier experience as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, designing control systems for forestry machinery, and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, Chris holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
