Derek O'Neil has extensive work experience in the construction industry, starting as a Site Engineer in 2003 and progressing to roles such as Project Planner, Senior Project Planner/Bid Manager, Principal Planner, and Project Manager. In 2016, they joined Careys as a Regional Planner before being promoted to Head of Planning and eventually Director of Planning and Project Controls in 2023. Throughout their career, Derek has demonstrated strong leadership skills, expertise in planning and project management, and a focus on utilizing technology to enhance project outcomes.
Derek O'Neil earned a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, completing the program from 1999 to 2003.
