Nikki Barfield

Surveyor - Behavioral Health And Employment Community Services at CARF International

Nikki Barfield has extensive experience in the field of social work and veteran services, currently serving as the Deputy Director for Supportive Services for Veteran Families at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since January 2000. In this role, Nikki Barfield assists the National Program Director, managing activities across over 260 community organizations. Nikki has also held the position of Acting National Director, overseeing program operations and evaluation. Additional roles include VISN 8 Network Homeless Coordinator, alongside surveyor responsibilities at CARF International, evaluating behavioral health organizations for national accreditation. Nikki Barfield contributes to the social work profession as an item writer for the ASWB and provides clinical supervision as a Florida Qualified Supervisor for both registered clinical social workers and mental health providers. Nikki holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of South Florida.
