Derick Lee Foster

Derick Lee Foster, MSc. is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in aquaculture and marine science. Currently serving as a Technical Application Lead at Cargill since June 2022, Foster previously held the position of Research and Development Manager at Open Blue Sea Farms, Inc., where responsibilities included establishing a functional research and development laboratory. Earlier roles included Biologist II at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Marine Hatchery Technician II at The University of Southern Mississippi, Marine Research Technician with the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, and Marine Research Biologist at Aqua Green, LLC. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Marine Science and Resource Management from National Taiwan Ocean University, a Diploma in Project Management from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala.
