Anissa Irwin

Anissa Irwin has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Anissa is currently serving as the Sr. Director of Quality Operations and Systems at CARGO Therapeutics since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Seagen as the Global Quality Partnership Management from August 2022 to January 2023.

Anissa has also held positions at Resilience as the Sr. Director of Global GxP Compliance and Supplier Quality from April 2021 to June 2022. Before that, they worked at Juno Therapeutics, Inc. as the Director of External Quality for Cell Therapy Operations from March 2019 to April 2021.

Earlier in Anissa's career, they were associated with Roche in various roles. Anissa served as the Associate Director of Pharma Technical Regulatory from April 2018 to March 2019, during which they led a group. Anissa also worked as the Regulatory Program Director from March 2017 to March 2018. Additionally, they held the role of Principal Technical Manager for Quality Biologics Network Operations from April 2011 to March 2017.

Before joining Roche, Anissa worked at Genentech as the Sr. Manager of Corporate Quality Governance from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they were the Manager of Quality Systems and Site Inspection Management from 2005 to 2007. Anissa started their career at Biogen as the Manager of Corporate Quality Training Systems in 2004, where they were responsible for the Global GxP Training Program.

Anissa also gained experience at Biogen Idec as the Manager of Site Quality Training Systems from 2002 to 2003.

Throughout their career, Anissa Irwin has held various senior-level positions and has contributed to quality operations, compliance, supplier quality, regulatory affairs, and training systems in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.

Anissa Irwin earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they studied from 1987 to 1991. Anissa then pursued further education and obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Executive Management and Healthcare from the University of La Verne, where they attended from 1995 to 1999. In addition to their degrees, Anissa Irwin also obtained a certification in "Preventing Workplace Harassment" from Emtrain in November 2018.
