Shishir Gadam has extensive work experience in the biotechnology industry. Shishir is currently serving as the Chief Technical Officer at CARGO Therapeutics since January 2022. Prior to this, they held leadership positions at various renowned companies. From November 2019 to January 2022, they worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb as the Vice President of Cell Therapy Global Manufacturing Science and Technology. At Juno Therapeutics, a Celgene Company, they held the position of Vice President and Head of Cell Therapy Global Manufacturing Sciences & Technology from October 2018 to January 2022. From June 2018 to October 2018, they worked at Genentech as the Senior Director of Pharma Technical Operations Innovation, Biologics. Before that, they held several roles at Genentech, including Senior Director of DS and DP Technical Leaders and External Manufacturing MS&T for Roche Biologics from January 2014 to June 2018, and Global Head of Drug Product Manufacturing Science and Technology from September 2013 to February 2014. Shishir also served as the Director of Global Manufacturing Science and Technology, Biologics Drug Product from February 2011 to September 2013 and Director of Manufacturing Science and Technology, Drug Substance, Vacaville Operations from April 2006 to January 2011. Shishir Gadam started their career at Merck, working as an Associate Director of Biologics Pilot Plant from January 2004 to March 2006. Prior to that, they worked at Merck Research Labs from August 1997 to December 2003, holding positions of Sr. Research Engineer (1997-1999) and Research Fellow (2000-2003). Shishir also served as an Invited Faculty at Johns Hopkins University's Chemical Engineering Department from January 2001 to May 2003.

Shishir Gadam holds a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Prior to that, they completed their MS in Chemical Engineering at West Virginia University and obtained their BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
