Arnout Wagenaar has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Arnout began their career in 2006 as an intern at the United Nations Population Fund. Arnout later worked as a brand analyst at BrandHub in Singapore. In 2007, Arnout co-founded iHipo.com, a careers website for international students and graduates. Arnout served as the Co-Founder until 2010.

From 2010 to 2013, Arnout worked as a Vice President at Clermont Group. In this role, they were involved in strategic and operational processes. Following this, they joined Viva Seha as the Managing Director, leading a hospital acquisition in Egypt and overseeing its turnaround process.

Arnout's experience in healthcare continued as they became a Director at The Abraaj Group's Growth Markets Healthcare Fund in 2014. Arnout later assumed the role of Director at Evercare Group, where they contributed to the growth and development of affordable health systems across emerging markets. Arnout played a hands-on role in leading or supporting country teams in the buy and build of hospital assets.

In 2013, Arnout also became an angel investor, providing investments in startups with a particular interest in healthcare, SaaS, and emerging markets. Arnout has invested in companies such as Cargobase, Mango Sciences, Density.io, Bloom, and Nutrisense.

More recently, Arnout joined Cargobase as the Chief Strategy Officer in March 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Board Director at the company since 2013. In addition to their professional achievements, Arnout has been an investor in the Seha Hospital Group since 2014.
