Tim Masey

Tim Masey has a strong background in information technology and cybersecurity, with experience in both the financial and retail sectors. Tim serves as the Vice President of IT Infrastructure & Security at Carhartt since January 2019. In this role, they are responsible for the architecture, delivery, and operations of the organization's IT infrastructure, security, and compliance. Tim sets strategies for cloud migration and technology transformation.

Prior to joining Carhartt, Tim was the Director of Cybersecurity at Carhartt, starting in August 2016 and ending in January 2019. As the CISO, they developed and executed a cybersecurity strategy and roadmap for the organization, utilizing the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Tim also implemented a measured assessment to determine the maturity of the security program on an annual basis.

Before their time at Carhartt, Tim worked at AAA from 2007 to 2016 as the Director of Information Security. In this role, they were responsible for security and PCI compliance for the organization, which included insurance, travel, membership, and banking services. Tim developed an enterprise information security program that was verified through third-party assessments and federal regulatory audits. Tim also collaborated extensively with legal, human resources, and internal audit teams to ensure the effective implementation of security measures.

Tim Masey obtained a Master of Telecommunications degree in Network Design & Security from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. Tim received this degree between 1999 and 2003. In addition to their degree, Tim also obtained the CISSP certification from isc2 in December 2010.
