Émilie Degagné is a highly experienced scientist with a focus on cell biology and therapeutic research. Currently serving as a Principal Scientist at Caribou Biosciences since January 2021, Émilie has progressed through various roles, including Senior Scientist II and Senior Scientist I. Prior experience includes positions at Aduro Biotech (now Chinook Therapeutics) as a Scientist II, and Dynavax Technologies, where Émilie held titles of Scientist II, Scientist I, and Senior Postdoctoral Fellow. Émilie was also a co-chair of the Staff and Clinical Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow Association during a postdoctoral fellowship at the Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute. Educational background includes a PhD in Cell Biology and Anatomy from Université de Sherbrooke, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and a post-secondary diploma in chemistry-biology with a focus on Biotechnology.
