Peggy Vorwald

Peggy Vorwald, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences, communications, and scientific strategy. Peggy is currently serving as the Senior Director of Corporate Communications at Caribou Biosciences, where they previously held the role of Director of Corporate Communications. Before joining Caribou Biosciences, Peggy worked at Real Chemistry as the Director of Scientific Strategy and Associate Director of Scientific Strategy. Peggy also served as an Associate Account Director at Real Chemistry. Prior to that, they worked at CG Life as an Account Supervisor and Senior Account Executive. Peggy's earlier experience includes roles at Little Dog Communications as an Account Executive and at INC Research as a Medical Writer. Peggy also worked as a Science Writer and Grant Researcher at Prof. Mamdooh Ghoneum. Peggy's academic background includes serving as the Graduate Student Representative for LCME accreditation Task Force at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and working as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, where they focused on studying signaling pathways in early embryo growth and differentiation. Peggy was also the Biological Chemistry Student President at UCLA and a member of the DGSOM Strategic Planning Committee.

Peggy Vorwald, Ph.D. completed their education in a chronological order. Peggy earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Fort Lewis College from 2002 to 2006. Peggy then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biological Chemistry at UCLA from 2007 to 2013. In 2015, they also completed a Project Management Certificate Program at the San Diego College of Continuing Education, specializing in Project Management.
