David Danco

David Danco has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. David is currently the Senior Director of Service Strategy, Development and Integration at Carilion Clinic, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Enterprise Systems at Carilion Clinic from November 2019 to January 2022.

Before joining Carilion Clinic, David worked at Delta Dental of Virginia / Corvesta, Inc. from January 2012 to November 2019. David held the role of Senior Director and led a team of software engineers, analysts, testers, and project managers. David was responsible for enhancing and maintaining a dental benefits administration system and implementing an IT governance process.

From 2004 to 2012, David worked at Delta Dental of Virginia as the Director of IS Strategy and Business Alignment. David managed a team of analysts and testers and played a key role in establishing the company's first dedicated software testing team.

Prior to that, David worked at Atlantic Mutual Companies from 1992 to 2004. David held various technical roles, including Systems Support Manager and Network Specialist. David oversaw the design, implementation, and support of networks and infrastructure software across multiple locations.

David Danco earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Old Dominion University from 1984 to 1987. In 2009 to 2012, they obtained an MBA in Business Administration from Radford University. David also attended the Executive Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016. Additionally, David has certifications including a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) from The American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters in 2001 and an Associate in Automation Management (AAM) from the Insurance Institute of America in 1997.
