Kathy Mendes

Kathy Mendes is a Senior Policy Associate at Caring Across Generations, a role held since April 2023, and previously served as a Policy Associate. Prior experience includes positions as a Policy Analyst and Research Assistant at The Commonwealth Institute for Fiscal Analysis from July 2019 to January 2023, and a Reading Tutor at The Literacy Lab from August 2018 to June 2019. Kathy's academic background features a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Virginia Commonwealth University, where involvement included being an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and Athletics Tutor. Additionally, Kathy contributed as an Intern Contributor and Writer for RVA Magazine and served as a Community Outreach Intern at the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
