Karisa Samuel

Karisa Samuel is a dedicated professional currently serving as a Program Officer at Caris Foundation since September 2016, specializing in Gender Mainstreaming, Disaster Response Management, and Logistics. Prior experience includes roles as a Community Facilitator and Community Facilitator Intern, focusing on women empowerment and youth mentorship. Prior to Caris Foundation, Karisa volunteered with Kenya Red Cross on Protracted Relief and Recovery Operations and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene projects, and completed an internship as a Field Officer with ActionAid, working on Safe Schools for Girls and Women Empowerment initiatives. Karisa holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Gender, and Development Studies, both from Kenyatta University.
