Christian Frech has a diverse range of work experience, starting from 1996 as a Software Engineer at logi.cals GmbH. Christian worked as an IT consultant at TCG Richard König GmbH and later at Plaut Austria GmbH. In 2003, they became a founding member and Project Manager at Sensix AG, where they were responsible for implementing customer relationship management projects. From 2005 to 2008, they worked as a Research Associate at Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences, focusing on R&D projects. Christian then pursued their PhD studies at Simon Fraser University from 2008 to 2013. Beginning in 2023, Christian will be working as a Principal Software Engineer at Caris Life Sciences. Throughout their career, they have gained experience in various programming languages, including Python, R, Java, C#, and T-SQL.

Christian Frech completed their education in a chronological order. From 1992 to 1996, they attended Technical High School St. Pölten, Austria, where they earned their degree of Ing. in Electronic Data Processing and Organisation. Following this, they pursued further education at Hagenberg Campus - FH Upper Austria from 2004 to 2007 and graduated with a Dipl.Ing. (FH) in Bioinformatics. Finally, from 2008 to 2013, they attended Simon Fraser University and completed their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Bioinformatics.
