Asen Bagashev

Asen Bagashev has worked in the scientific field since 2006, beginning as a Research Assistant at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Asen then went on to become a Graduate Research Assistant at Temple University in 2010. After that, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow and Senior Scientist at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in 2014. Most recently, they are a Principal Scientist at Carisma Therapeutics, starting in 2022.

Asen Bagashev earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cell Biology and Molecular Neuroscience from Temple University - Lewis Katz School of Medicine between 2010 and 2013. Asen also holds certifications from the CITI Program, including Responsible Conduct of Research for Postdocs, Fellows, Trainees, and NIH Early Career Investigators (obtained in April 2014), Working with the IACUC (obtained in August 2022), Group 1: Biomedical Researchers (obtained in April 2020), and Group 2: Social-Behavioral-Educational Researchers (obtained in April 2020).
