Anita Burton

Anita Burton, PHR, SHRM-CP, CDP, CDT has extensive experience in human resources, with a focus on strategic HR management and talent development. Anita began their career at Payco American Corporation as a Regional Human Resources Manager and worked there from 1988 to 1997. Anita then joined Providian Financial, where they earned successive promotions and eventually became Vice-President of Human Resources, leading the planning, design, and delivery of HR services. In 2004, Anita joined The Hartford as a Director/Manager of Human Resources, responsible for supporting the Northern California Regional Claims Center and later assuming the role of Corporate HR Director. Since 2013, they have been working at ZEISS Medical Technology, initially as a Senior HR Business Partner and then as Director of Talent Management, ultimately becoming the Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, they serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership and directs the organization's HR strategy and initiatives, including talent acquisition, performance management, and organizational development.

Anita Burton, PHR, SHRM-CP, CDP, CDT, holds a Bachelor's Degree in English from the University of California, Berkeley (1980-1986) and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Welfare from the same institution (1980-1986). Anita also obtained a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) in Administrative and Organization Management from Golden Gate University (1989-1991). Additionally, Anita holds professional certifications such as Certified Cultural Diversity and Inclusion Professional from the Diversity Executive Leadership Academy, Professional in Human Resources from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, and SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM.
