David Nolan has extensive work experience in the medical technology field. David began their career as an Intern Controls Engineer at Boston Scientific in 2006. David then worked at Crospon Ltd as a Software & Clinical Engineer from 2007 to 2012, where they designed and developed software for medical imaging and drug delivery devices, conducted clinical data analysis, and provided device and procedure support. Since 2012, David has been with ZEISS Medical Technology, where they have held various roles. As a Software Engineer, they played a key role in developing innovative features for the Cirrus OCT imaging device. David later became a Staff Software Engineer and a Senior Staff Software Engineer & Global Expert, contributing to the design, development, and calibration of imaging devices. In their role as Manager, R&D Software, they successfully implemented Agile development methodologies, increased the number of interns, and developed an Onboarding Program. Currently, David is the Head of Device Software at ZEISS, where they have achieved significant improvements in customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and technical quality through the introduction of Generative AI and a new technical ladder.

David Nolan completed their Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Galway, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. David later pursued a Master's degree in BioEngineering at Trinity College Dublin from 2009 to 2011.
