David Lovinger

David Lovinger is a seasoned medical professional currently serving as the Associate Chief Medical Officer and Chief Informatics Officer at Carle Health since March 2021, while also holding the position of Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Carle Illinois College of Medicine since November 2021. Previously, David held several leadership roles at NorthShore University HealthSystem from November 2008 to December 2020, including Chair of Clinical Decision Support and Division Chief of Hospital Medicine, where management of a large clinical practice was overseen. David's early career includes a tenure as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago from 2002 to 2008, where development and management of the Anticoagulation clinic and initiation of a Hospitalist service were accomplished. David earned an MD from The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and a BA in History, Psychology, and Fine Art from Washington University in St. Louis.
