Abid Hussain, P.Eng. is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of Environmental Engineering, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Carleton University since January 2020. Prior to this role, Abid held positions as an Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, and as Cluster Leader for Resource Recovery at the Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute from May 2018 to December 2019. Abid's academic journey includes serving as an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Waterloo and a Researcher at the National Research Council Canada. Abid also contributed as an Associate Fellow at The Energy and Resources Institute and completed a PhD in Bioresource Engineering at McGill University, where Abid was a candidate from September 2009 to November 2013, after obtaining a Master's degree in the same field from McGill University - Macdonald Campus. Additional experience includes working with the United Nations on a Climate Change Program and serving as a Visiting Researcher at the National Research Council Canada.
