Herm Canil

Herm joined Carlex in 2020 as Chief Operating Officer and brings over 30 years of leadership and in-depth manufacturing experience. Herm has held senior executive positions in both publicly owned and private equity led automotive glass companies. To complement his manufacturing background, Herm further developed a comprehensive and strategic understanding of the glass industry by having assumed leadership roles in Sales, Marketing, Strategic Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain over his career.

Herm has significant hands-on experience leading world class manufacturing performance in the production of float glass and all elements of laminated and tempered glass; and has driven multiple turnarounds, restructuring, and integration initiatives.

Herm is a passionate, data-driven, servant leader who uses disciplined management processes and lean tools to drive fundamental process improvements and bottom-line results.
