About the role: Join our Finance team as Payroll and Finance Specialist - you’ll be jumping between processing payroll and financial accounting duties to support our dynamic Finance team. If you have some payroll experience and are looking to learn more in the accounting space - this is the role for you!

Responsibilities

  • Lead payroll processing for the company, ensuring accuracy for all payroll-related payments and employment data
  • Be the go-to person to investigate and solve any timesheet discrepancies
  • Responsible for all things accounts receivable related
  • Assist in managing and reconciling invoices, accounts and transactions
  • Help out with month-end processes and assist the team with monthly BAS and PAYG
  • Assist with reporting across both payroll and general accounting
  • A real chance to support the wider finance team, you’ll gain exposure to lots of different areas for finance

About you

  • At least 2 years of experience in a commercial finance team
  • In-depth exposure to payroll processing, ideally working with timesheets
  • Intermediate Excel skills, you're comfortable with v-lookups and pivot tables
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A relationship builder - you know how to build relationships with different types of stakeholders
  • Experience working with ERP and payroll systems (we use Business Central, Employment Hero/ Keypay and Deputy)
  • Experience working with a modern award/s would be highly desirable (ideally the vehicle award)
  • Currently studying, or looking to start a CPA or CA would be a big plus!
  • Hold an accounting undergraduate degree
