Mark Poirot

Mark Poirot, MBA, is an experienced Information Technology leader with a strong track record in software engineering and team management. Currently serving as an Information Technology Leader at CarMax since January 2021, Mark previously held roles as Sr. Manager - Digital IT at West Cary Group and IT Manager at CarMax and Capital One, where responsibilities included leading software engineering teams, technical decision-making, and significant re-engineering projects within IT. Earlier career experiences included roles at Verizon Wireless, where Mark developed web applications and managed system performance metrics. Mark holds an MBA from Virginia Tech and a BBA in Information Systems and Computer Science from Radford University.
