James Marles

James Marles, CRSP, AE is a seasoned professional in health, safety, and environment management with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Health Safety and Environment Manager for Eastern Ontario at Carmichael Engineering Ltd. since March 2024, James also founded Informed Safety, a platform dedicated to discussions within the health and safety industry. Previous positions include Environment, Health and Safety Manager at Equans Services Canada & US, and Manager, Health, Safety & Environment at BGIS, where James progressed through several specialized roles. Earlier career experiences involved ergonomic consulting and assessments at companies such as Ergo-Safety, Fugro Roadware, and Ontario Power Generation, showcasing expertise in workplace ergonomics. James holds an Honours Bachelor degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo and furthered education at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology.
