Alicia Wanless

Alicia Wanless is a Senior Fellow and Director of the Partnership for Countering Influence Operations at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, focusing on evidence-based policymaking to counter threats in the information environment and currently collaborating with the G7 Rapid Response Network on initiatives supporting Ukraine. With extensive experience in researching and strategizing within the information space, Alicia has held roles such as Director of Research at Alton Corporation, Project Director for counter influence initiatives, and has engaged in doctoral research at King’s Centre for Strategic Communications. A background in strategic communications includes leadership positions at organizations such as The SecDev Foundation and Crowder House Inc., alongside developing niche tourism marketing campaigns. Alicia's academic credentials include a PhD in War Studies from King's College London, an Honours BA in Russian & East European Studies from York University, and coursework in European & Russian Studies at Carleton University.
