Drew Davidson is a seasoned academic and industry professional with extensive experience in communication studies and interactive media. Since 2004, Drew has served as a Teaching Professor and held several leadership positions at Carnegie Mellon University, including Director of the Entertainment Technology Center, where initiatives in entertainment technology are spearheaded. In addition, Drew is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Play Story Press, established in 2024, and previously contributed as Academic Department Director at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh from 2003 to 2006. Prior academic roles include Assistant Professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and various project management positions in the private sector. Drew holds a PhD in Communication Studies from The University of Texas at Austin and both an MA and BA in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where a strong foundation in art history was also developed.
