Paulo Marques

Paulo Marques is an esteemed technology leader with extensive experience across various sectors, notably in fraud detection and education. As a co-founder and CTO of Feedzai, Paulo has played a pivotal role in advancing machine learning and AI solutions to combat financial crime since November 2008. Currently, Paulo serves as a founding partner at TUMO Portugal, an innovative school blending creativity with technology for youth. In addition, Paulo acts as the Scientific Director of the CMU|Portugal Program, fostering research and collaboration between academia and industry. Paulo's academic contributions include positions as an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University and as an assistant professor at the University of Coimbra, along with significant research in software engineering and distributed systems. Paulo also co-founded WIT Software and has consulted on high-profile projects for the European Space Agency and Critical Software. With a strong educational background, including a Ph.D. in Informatics Engineering from Universidade de Coimbra, Paulo Marques continues to influence the intersection of technology and education.
