Christian Mesia

Director of Research, Innovation and Social Responsability at Universidad Privada del Norte

Christian Mesia is the current Director of Research, Innovation and Social Responsability at Universidad Privada del Norte. Prior to this, they held the position of Vicerrector de Investigación at Universidad Privada San Juan Bautista from December 2019 to February 2022. From September 2017 to December 2019, they were a Profesor Principal at Universidad Científica del Sur. Christian has also worked as a Consultor Sociocultural and as an Asesor at the Ministerio de Cultura del Perú from March 2013 to September 2013. From January 2011 to February 2013, they were the Director of Museo de Arte Precolombino Casa del Alabado. Professor Mesia has also taught at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos from April 2009 to December 2011 and at Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola from August 2008 to December 2010.

Christian Mesia began their educational career by obtaining a Licenciado in Arqueología from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. Christian then went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Anthropology and Archaeology from Stanford University. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Anthropology from Stanford University.

Their manager is Jose Nicanor Gonzales Quijano, Chancellor. They are on a team with Alberto Villanueva Eslava - Dean, Faculty of Law, Gustavo Kato Ishizawa - Vice Chancellor & Dean, Faculty of Engineering, and Patricia L. Sánchez Urrego - Dean, Faculty of Communications.
