Rachel Liggett is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in advancement writing, grants management, procurement, and museum operations. Currently serving as an Advancement Writer & Grants Specialist at Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh since September 2022, Rachel collaborates with museum staff to create and submit a variety of advancement communications, primarily for the Andy Warhol Museum. Prior experience includes roles at the Allegheny County Department of Human Services as a Contracted Services Procurement Manager and Procurement Coordinator, where Rachel facilitated the procurement process for services. At Aquion Energy, Rachel contributed significantly to the start-up's growth as a Production Scheduler while evolving through several positions. Earlier roles include archaeological research at Heritage Research Associates and marketing management at Lane County Historical Museum, alongside a graduate fellowship at the University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History. Rachel holds a Master's Degree in Arts Administration from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology and Journalism from Ohio University.
