Theodora Konetsovska

Theodora is a Consultant with the International Schools Practice.

Theodora served for six years as Associate Director in the Financial Administration Division at Harvard University. Four of those years she spent in the Office of Financial Strategy and Planning where she was in charge of the university’s principal annual financial planning processes, operating budget, and multi-year plan. The other two years were spent in the Office of Treasury Management managing the university’s $5.5 billion debt portfolio and holding primary responsibility for the university’s $7 billion central bank.

Prior to her administrative experience at Harvard, Theodora worked for 12 years in New York at Goldman Sachs as Vice President in the Public Sector & Infrastructure Department within the firm's Investment Banking Division. She specialized in debt issuance and interest rate derivative products for U.S.-based colleges and universities, and focused on client coverage and new business opportunities.

Currently, she serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees at the American College of Sofia in Sofia, Bulgaria, a role she has held since 2020. As Chair, she led and oversaw the search for the school’s new head of school and spearheaded the school’s first long-term strategic plan. She has also led efforts to restructure the governance and functions of the Board to meet the highest level of board best practices.

Theodora earned her B.A. Cum Laude with a double major in Economics and Political Science from Williams College.
