Global Chief Human Resources Officer at Carnival Corporation

Effective Oct. 1, 2022, Bettina Deynes became Global Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Carnival Corporation, overseeing human resource functions for the company’s nine cruise brands.

Bettina brings a background of business leadership and strategic planning to Carnival Corporation. As Global CHRO, she is ultimately responsible for attracting, retaining and rewarding talent; leading more collaborative approaches with the operating companies to optimize human resource functions and further leverage best practices; as well as enhancing the company culture and leading the organization’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.

Prior to her current role as Global CHRO, Bettina served Carnival Cruise Line as its CHRO overseeing shoreside and shipboard human resources functions. With an extensive HR background, she has provided key support to the organization during a time of unprecedented organizational challenges and brings this experience and momentum to the corporate role.

Her 20-plus-year career in management and human resources allowed her to bring a wealth of business leadership and strategic planning to her role. Bettina served as CHRO and Strategy Officer for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), while also serving as a voting member of the United States delegation for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for the development of international HR standards. Earlier in her career, she was Vice President, Human Resources for the Washington Nationals Baseball Club and CHRO for the City of Alexandria, Va. In 2022, Bettina was awarded with the National’s Women’s Conference Top 100 Women in Business.
