Karl Austin

Karl Austin serves as Vice President of Maritime Standards at Carnival Corporation since November 2020, focusing on marine and technical operational standards, assurance, compliance, and safety within the largest leisure travel company globally. In addition to their role at Carnival, Karl has been a Vice President at Trinity House since February 2016, where Karl is also elected as a Younger Brother, advising on operational and charitable activities. Furthermore, Karl holds positions as an Executive Board Member for The Nautical Institute and a Board Member for Seafarers' House at Port Everglades. Their previous experience includes serving as Vice President of Marine - Maritime Quality Assurance at Carnival Corporation and holding the rank of Captain at Princess Cruises, managing large cruise ships. Karl's educational background includes a Master of Science in Leadership and Management from the University of Portsmouth and an MBA with a focus on Global Management.
